We are bringing home a wonderful 18th place from this year’s 33rd edition of the Winckelmann-Cup, the football tournament of archaeological teams! A huge thank you goes to Caligula Strikers Freiburg for the excellent organisation.𓂀 Many thanks to our colleagues from the Czech Institute of Egyptology, Faculty of Arts, Charles University, for litres of sweat, devastating counter-attacks, and four important goals.
We would also like to thank the University of Hradec Králové and the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Hradec Králové, for their support — without it, all the referees at the tournament might have been left completely without pencils. And for the “ionic” drinks that kept us alive in the scorching heat, we thank to Hradecký Klenot.
