Abstrakt
During the excavation season 2014, in so called ‘Monumental Complex’, part of Etruscan Tarquinia, 1abronze fibula of the middle La Tène scheme was uncovered (Bagnasco-Gianni etal. in press, fibula was identified during the uncovering of the superficial layer in sector H–M). The occurrence of this artefact of the ‘Latenian’ character opened the question of other possible indicators reflecting the Celtic presence in other sorts of material culture, known from the sites in Tarquinian territory or in its vicinity. Considering that the presence of Celtic tribes in many parts of Italian peninsula is attested by numerous sites ascribed to Celts and also by various examples of their perception in Hellenistic Italian art, it seems logical that such indications could exist also in Tarquinian territory.
