{"id":30199,"date":"2023-06-26T14:06:00","date_gmt":"2023-06-26T12:06:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uni.uhk.cz\/archeologie\/?p=30184"},"modified":"2024-04-05T14:54:37","modified_gmt":"2024-04-05T12:54:37","slug":"vypocetni-tomografie-ct-sbirkovych-predmetu-2-2-2-2-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uni.uhk.cz\/archeologie\/?p=30199&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"X-Ray Survey of Archaeological Metal Artefacts"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"hcode-row-1\"><div class=\"container\"><div class=\"row\"><div class=\"wpb_column hcode-column-container no-padding  col-xs-mobile-fullwidth\" data-front-class=\"no-padding col-xs-mobile-fullwidth front-column-class\"><div class=\"vc-column-innner-wrapper\"><div class=\"no-padding\"><p>We provide an X-ray survey of archaeological artefacts made from base as well as precious metals.<\/p>\n<p>Services include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>X-ray image acquisition in positive or negative, with the possibility of further editing (400 CZK without VAT per image)<\/li>\n<li>Professional evaluation<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of a protocol about the survey<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The survey is suitable for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Artefacts picked up in the in-situ block<\/li>\n<li>Iron artefacts - Artefacts from copper alloys (bronze, brass)<\/li>\n<li>Artefacts from silver and gold alloys<\/li>\n<li>Artefacts from tin and lead alloys<\/li>\n<li>Artefacts from composite materials (metal and glass, wood, textile, leather)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>X-Ray survey is an integral part of research of archaeological artefacts. Before the conservation intervention, metal artefacts are often in a state when the shape of the object is not evident, neither preservation of the metal core, nor internal damages, nor any decorations. With an X-ray survey, it is possible to find out most of this information without any intervention in the object. Apart from the assessment of the metal core condition, it is possible to detect traces of the production of the object itself, such as pores after casting, welding, and soldering.
