Aktivity v oblasti leteck\u00e9 archeologie jsou na kated\u0159e spojeny s osobnost\u00ed J. Kov\u00e1rn\u00edka. Ten zah\u00e1jil systematick\u00fd leteck\u00fd pr\u016fzkum a leteckou fotografickou dokumentaci archeologick\u00fdch lokalit (na tehdej\u0161\u00edm pracovi\u0161ti v Jihomoravsk\u00e9m muzeu Znojmo) ji\u017e r. 1982 jako prvn\u00ed v\u00a0b\u00fdval\u00e9m \u010ceskoslovensku a zem\u00edch st\u0159edn\u00ed a jihov\u00fdchodn\u00ed Evropy. Metodika leteck\u00e9 prospekce je zalo\u017eena na jednotliv\u00fdch druz\u00edch p\u0159\u00edznak\u016f, jimi\u017e se jak\u00e9koliv poru\u0161en\u00ed p\u016fdy \u010dlov\u011bkem projev\u00ed na obrazu krajiny. T\u00edmto zp\u016fsobem J. Kov\u00e1rn\u00edk objevil \u0159adu v\u00fdznamn\u00fdch nalezi\u0161\u0165.\u00a0 Nap\u0159. v roce 1991 u zatopen\u00e9 vesnice Mu\u0161ov, okr. Brno-venkov prvn\u00ed poln\u00ed t\u00e1bory \u0159\u00edmsk\u00fdch legi\u00ed na Morav\u011b (<strong>Obr. 1<\/strong>). N\u00e1lez \u0159et\u011bzce pevnost\u00ed \u0159\u00edmsk\u00fdch legi\u00ed na ji\u017en\u00ed Morav\u011b (nap\u0159. Charv\u00e1tsk\u00e1 Nov\u00e1 Ves, \u0160akvice, Mu\u0161ov a dal\u0161\u00ed) 90 km a v\u00edce severn\u011b od st\u0159edodunajsk\u00e9ho limitu byl hodnocen jako jeden z v\u00fdznamn\u00fdch\u00a0objev\u016f 20. stolet\u00ed. Fenom\u00e9nem mladoneolitick\u00e9ho obdob\u00ed jsou are\u00e1ly s p\u0159ibli\u017en\u011b kruhov\u00fdmi a\u017e n\u011bkolikan\u00e1sobn\u00fdmi p\u0159\u00edkopy, tzv. rondely (\u00f8 50-100-240 m a v\u00edce) se vstupy p\u0159ibli\u017en\u011b ve sm\u011brech sv\u011btov\u00fdch stran. \u0160lo o m\u00edsta s aktivitami z\u00a0oblasti organizace societ a kultu. Leteckou prospekc\u00ed byl roz\u0161\u00ed\u0159en po\u010det rondel\u016f na Morav\u011b (nap\u0159. Vedrovice, okr. Znojmo, Ra\u0161ovice, okr. Vy\u0161kov; Milovice, okr. B\u0159eclav aj.) i ve v\u00fdchodn\u00edch \u010cech\u00e1ch (Semonice, okr. N\u00e1chod, Lochenice II: <strong>Obr. 2<\/strong>, Chlum, okr. Hradec Kr\u00e1lov\u00e9 etc.), d\u00e1le nepravideln\u011b kruhov\u00fdch rondeloid\u016f star\u0161\u00ed doby bronzov\u00e9 (Lan\u017ehot, Vranovice, okr. B\u0159eclav, aj.). K dal\u0161\u00edm objev\u016fm pat\u0159\u00ed ov\u00e1ln\u00e1 nebo obloukovit\u00e1 p\u0159\u00edkopov\u00e1 opevn\u011bn\u00ed \u00fan\u011btick\u00e9 kultury (Kyjov, Karl\u00edn, okr. Hodon\u00edn, Mu\u0161ov IV, okr. Brno-venkov, V\u00e1\u017eany nad Litavou: <strong>Obr.<\/strong> <strong>3<\/strong>, okr. Vy\u0161kov, ad.), a to i n\u011bkolikan\u00e1sobn\u00e1 (Hru\u0161ovany n\/J, pr\u016fm\u011br 206 m). Zdokumentov\u00e1na byla mnoh\u00e1 s\u00eddli\u0161t\u011b prav\u011bk\u00e9ho a\u017e ran\u011b d\u011bjinn\u00e9ho st\u00e1\u0159\u00ed a zanikl\u00fdch st\u0159edov\u011bk\u00fdch (T\u0159esice, okr. Hradec Kr\u00e1lov\u00e9), n\u011bkdy opevn\u011bn\u00fdch vs\u00ed (Libice: <strong>Obr. 4 <\/strong>\u00a0u B\u0159e\u017ean, okr. Znojmo), p\u016fdorysy dom\u016f (Kosice, okr. Hradec Kr\u00e1lov\u00e9, Jevi\u0161ovka, Rakvice, okr. B\u0159eclav; Bo\u017eice, Hru\u0161ovany n\/J, Kyjovice okr. Znojmo, atd.), hrob\u016f a poh\u0159ebi\u0161\u0165 (Rakvice, okr. B\u0159eclav; Oblekovice u Znojma). N\u011bkter\u00e9 v\u00fdznamn\u00e9 hrobky se projevily kruhov\u00fdm nebo \u010dtvercov\u00fdm \u017el\u00e1bkem (Mu\u0161ov, Strachot\u00edn: <strong>Obr.<\/strong> <strong>5<\/strong>, okr. B\u0159eclav; Borotice, okr. Znojmo aj.). Ji\u017e v\u00a0roce 1983 byla dokumentov\u00e1na ohrazen\u00e1 s\u00eddli\u0161t\u011b z po\u010d\u00e1tku\u00a0neolitu u Vedrovic, okr. Znojmo. V n\u00e1sleduj\u00edc\u00edch letech byla dokumentov\u00e1na dal\u0161\u00ed prav\u011bk\u00e1 (\u010dty\u0159\u00faheln\u00e9 p\u0159\u00edkopov\u00e9 ohrazen\u00ed Bo\u017eice, Derflice, okr.
