Excavations led by ass. prof. Petr Šída, Ph.D. took place in the second half of June. Extent of the Neolithic mining area and workshop for the manufacture of axes was verified by test pits. The excavation took place within the scope of grant Metabasite of Jizerské mountains as a transcultural link in the prehistoric communities of the central Europe.
Students from our department also participated in this project and learnt the excavation and documentation methods that are specific for prehistoric research.
