Our research is focused on early to late medieval central sites (hillforts, manors, castles, fortified manor houses). The research topics include the issues of their dating and the causes for their emergence and downfall (or possibly survival), their position in the landscape, their relationships to other contemporaneous sites, links to raw material resources as well as studies of material culture and everyday life on those sites.
